Twenty two walkers gathered at the Wesleyan Reform Church in Coal Aston in readiness for Adrian’s walk. Not Really a Pub Crawl (12th October 2024)

Lower Moss Valley Circular (8th October 2024)
Here’s what the walk leader, Graham had to say about his walk. For today’s walk I did an old favourite that I hadn’t done for a couple of years. Starting out from The Swan pub in Ridgeway, I led a party of 15 members along the footpath alongside the Ridgeway School Garden and across three fields

Stone Circles and Two Moors (21st September 2024)
Sixteen walkers gathered in Shillito Wood car park on a dull Saturday morning with just a hint of rain in the air. We started out walking through the wood so that we could view the medieval wayside cross. This Christian cross is unusual in that it is housed in a square socket hole. In addition

Today’s walk, led by Nicola and Julie, was based on a walk from “On Your Dorestep”, a publication created by the Dore Village Society. The circular walk is the combination of two routes from Dore to Dronfield that were probably used to take the dead for burial before Dore had its own churchyard. Twenty five

Bakewell Circular (3rd September 2024)
Eleven walkers and one dog joined Paula for the second of two walks that she has led in the Bakewell area. A good portion of the walk was along the Monsal Trail which we joined by taking a path across the field and then following Coombs Road. The trail was quite busy as usual with

Around Hardwick (Saturday 24th August)
Twenty two walkers and one four legged friend gathered by the ponds in Hardwick Park in readiness for a 5 mile walk in the Park and its surrounding area. The forecast was for sunshine and showers and that’s pretty much how it turned out. Many of us hadn’t walked some of the footpaths in this
