Twenty walkers met outside the Swan Inn at Ridgeway. The weather was sunny with a gentle breeze. This is a walk that Graham, our leader, has been asked to repeat by many of our members. In addition to the lovely scenery in this area the walk includes points of interest such as the Seldom Seen engine house which is the last remaining building from the Plumbley Collieries.
We also visited the Eckington Church Farm Tea Garden and enjoyed lovely home made cakes and scones. Many thanks to Graham for leading this walk. I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t requested again for next summer!
