Here’s Paula’s report on her walk on the 24th October.
Six of us and two dogs set out this morning. I’d altered the intended return route due to the amount of rain we’d had over the last few days. We walked through the fields from “telly tubby hill” up to Horsleygate, surprisingly dry under foot until we reached a very muddy section just before reaching the main road. Joe did a good job of steering us round the driest section. We then followed the bridleway down to Fanshawgate returning via the main path through Holmesfield Wood leading to the Angel, then picked up the bridleway on Cowley Lane returning us to Pentland road.
