Eighteen of us met up at Fox House for a 6 mile circular of Higger Tor led by Peter Thornber.
The weather was bright with a slight chill in the air but all in all, near perfect walking conditions. The first part of the walk was on the Sheffield Country Walk path all the way to Upper Burbage Bridge where we saw school parties enjoying a day out in the countryside. We then crossed more rugged terrain all the way to Higger Tor where we found a sheltered spot with excellent views for our coffee/lunch break. From here our track was mainly downhill across Hathersage Moor finally crossing the road close to Toad’s Mouth. The last leg of the walk took us to the Longshaw estate and our starting point, Fox House.
Thanks to Peter for leading us on this walk. Here are some photos taken by Graham and June.
