Fourteen of us plus two dogs enjoyed a lovely 6 mile walk on Tuesday. Here’s what our walk leader Paula had to say about it.
There were a few unexpected surprises enroute. We discovered that Nine Fields had largely been recently ploughed and what hadn’t been ploughed had been sprayed to kill off the grass in readiness for ploughing, but it made for a slightly different scene to usual, and not as wet underfoot as it might have been.
We had a lovely stop off at the Lakeside Café at Barlow Ponds for some refreshments, before making our way back via Red Lane, Barlow Lees and Cowley. The weather was kind to us too, just a few spots of rain.
